Grand Opening: “Orleans on Main”
September 11, 2009

Despite rain, opening weekend for local high school football games and the first home game weekend for LSU, the Grand opening and Chamber Ribbon Cutting for Orleans on Main last Friday was a phenomenonal success with the crowd well exceeding 200 during the three hour event.

Owner’s Terry Gardner and Donnie Irby have out done themselves with Orleans on Main providing top-of-the-line features such as gas light fixtures, wrought iron entrances, original brick wall restoration, etched glass windows and a restored antique, upright piano. On display were the high-tech audio/visual capabilities that the facility will have  available for use by all that rent the Event Destination as well as nearly fifty (50) framed photographs of actual historic pictures of Minden’s early past.

It was obvious that people came and stayed during the event and the atmosphere, music, food all lended itself to the perfect atmosphere for a party.

The Catering kitchen was described by many cooks touring the facility as a caterer’s dream kitchen.

The Invocation was given by Bro. Jim Wallace, Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church and remarks were made by Gina Eubanks, Chairman of the Board Minden, South Webster Chamber of Commerce and Mike Moore, President of the Minden South Webster Chamber of Commerce.

Catering was by Jimmy Hall and Party Express and included a complete South Louisiana menu. The Cake continued the Louisiana theme of a Fleur-de-lis atop a three tier black and white striped cake created by Mr. Gardner’s niece from Shreveport. Piano music was provided during the event.  For more information on and how to book an event at Orleans on Main call: (318) 377-6250 or email at contact@orleansonmain.com.
